COVID-19

We are so pleased with how enthusiastic our pupils have been to return to school. The health and mental wellbeing of our pupils, staff and parents is our number one priority. We are available to offer help and support where needed and we are using our Heartsmart sessions to promote wellbeing. Each class also has their own opportunities for circle time and group discussion. At Lindale CE Primary School, we always strive to inspire our children and we feel that, especially at the moment, including exciting days and celebrations in our calendar is vital as these are the days that the children really look forward to.

Following the unprecedented disruption to our children’s learning, teachers have established a catch up program for their class as well as covering their current year group expectations. Please see the document below for how we are spending our catch-up premium and how we will assess the expected outcomes.

We have changed many of our policies and procedures to be in line with the Covid-19 guidance. We are constantly reviewing and tweaking these procedures based on our observations and any new government guidance. We are asking parents to maintain social distancing both in the playground and when entering and leaving the premises.

We have also planned for the possibility of a full school / bubble closure and we will ensure continuity of education. For home learning, we will be using Tapestry for Reception and Seesaw for years 1 – 6. Please also see our Remote Education page.

All schools have been provided with a catch-up premium for specific activities to support their pupils in catching up on any lost teaching and gaps in knowledge; this is spent in line with the guidance. Schools have the flexibility to spend their funding in the best way for their cohort and circumstances.
