This week we have been reading Stanley’s Stick by John Hegley. We have been outside to collect sticks of all shapes and sizes and tried to think of different uses for our sticks just like Stanley did! We pretended that they could be sweepers, back scratchers, flutes, hockey sticks and swords. We could build with them and make shapes and letters on the ground. “Fantastick” as Stanley would say!

The sun kept shining for us at the Westmorland show today! We had a fantastic time looking at local businesses and finding out about agricultural work.

Year 3 & 4 had a great time finding out about the different parts of the digestive system today! They used junk materials to make models of some of the organs.
Wow! I was so impressed with the words that year 5 & 6 used in their writing today. Some children from year 3 & 4 had a go at using some of these ambitious words too! Well done!
We got sticky helping Mrs Lishman cook some Greek treats today with honey and sesame seeds. Yum Yum!

We had a great time working out where our different organs are by drawing on aprons today.
We had a great first day back hearing about everybody’s summer holidays and working together in teams.

We had a great last day doing team challenges. The leavers assembly this morning was great and so emotional. Have a lovely summer holidays!

We had a great day today in our new classes. It was good fun getting to know each other, drawing selfies and having a liquid running race!

We have been for our last forest school session of the term. This time we were identifying trees by looking at their leaves and matching them to a picture chart. Then we used sticks, twigs and leaves to make pictures and patterns.
